Depends on what you're looking for in a place to move. If you like a more rural, less populated state with a lot of forest, then go for Alaska! And if it's cold weather you love, there's plenty of it up here. OTOH if you expect a more urban experience with (probably) better internet connection, Maine is what you're after. Admittedly, I'm just going by google search, but given it's on the east coast, odds are there's more investment in the infrastructure. ^^;

Thank you for your input Alaska-san (apparently?). I have actually been looking into your (?) state quite a bit and it's honestly my first choice to relocate to. I've grown up in the city but I really like small towns with a lot of nature. As long as there's internet that isn't dial-up, I think I'll be fine. I don't do much that's very intensive and in fact usually watch things like livestreams on intentionally lower-than-optimal quality. In any case, I'm going to probably try to take a visit there before long to see for myself before deciding. I visited there when I was a little kid but not since then. I also have always been interested in many of the indigenous tribal cultures of the area like the Iñupiaq and Yupik, so that's a draw for me.

It never ceases to surprise me when someone on the internet is interested in Alaska, but I guess that's the difference between a person who's lived here a long time versus that of someone who hasn't; I lived here so long I just take it for granted. It doesn't surprise me you seem(?) to feel the same way about where you grew up. Anyways, I saw your post and put together a rushed comment because I assumed you picked it out for those sole reasons. 'Twas dumb of me in hindsight to think you didn't do your research on it. We probably won't ever see each other (not like we'd know if we did ^^;), but I hope you enjoy your (second) visit, and best of luck to you if you decide on moving here.
