Dragonsdale
Small-fry enemy data
Stage strategy
The Pip tribe in the Faerie Forest were barely noticeable, but the Conk tribe are quite strong. Conkuistadors can use Zapple and even recover their health with Meditation. Conkerers are pretty much the same but their Attack is considerably higher, making their MusterStrength skill a threat. Conkjurers can cast Frizzle and Sizzle. Even Conkuisitors can occasionally cast Swoosh. Hm? These aren't that strong?
Another enemy to watch out for is Jargon, whose stats are quite high. You should build tension and defeat it quickly.
Boss data
Boss strategy
This is the first location where Stone-type enemies appear as the boss's minions.
Stone-type enemies have extremely high defense, and you can't defeat them in one hit unless you have considerable attack power.
Furthermore, BlueStone uses Multiheal and WhiteWind; the strategy of gradually chipping away at their heath is ineffective because they will simply recover.
However, they can also use SelfDestruct and MP5Death, so if you're not confident in your firepower, you have no choice but to rely on this.
This is especially true if they have increased their Defense with MightyGuard.
Frankly, if your firepower isn't enough to break through their defenses without any defensive buffs, I don't think you can challenge the Dragonlord in a fair fight…
If you manage to overcome this and challenge the Dragonlord, he is also at a high level in both firepower and durablity.
He has breath attacks that leave you with little defensive option, and a powerful physical attack called DoubleUp.
You'll need around 400 HP to reliably withstand his attacks.
However, if he unleashes a barrage of powerful attacks, you'll often find yourself endlessly healing.
The ideal scenario is to build up tension by hoping for a continuous stream of weak attacks, then unleash a powerful counterattack immediately after surviving DoubleUp.
However, if DoubleUp doesn't happen often, and even if it does, it deals considerable damage, so there aren't many opportunities to counter attack.
That said, despite the high difficulty, there are situations where you must give up:
- Getting hit by BlueStone's Roulette
- BlueStone using Oomph on Dragonloard
- Being paralyzed by BurningBreath and then being beaten mercilessly
To consistently clear this stage, the only option is maxing out your stats.
As a side note, this is about as far as you can consistently go without maxed-out stats.
From here on, quest locations will almost certainly require maxed-out stats.
