Yes, I know it, but I don't post there regularly. Might do so, but what's the deal with Denpa culture, being a Denpa and this Denpa board in particular? Is there something deeper to it, than just saying, that you lost with reality or that you are going insane or whatever? I don't understand, but I really want to understand.

I've seen it linked elsewhere before in passing, but I didn't really give it a real shot until this thread. Seems like an alright place.

Denpa 電波 is a word for overimaginative conspiracy theorist types, people with passionatly unconventional fantasies and obsessions. So by naming it after that, I think they're just encouraging people to have open-hearted discussions without worrying too much about ending up sounding a bit crazy.

One interesting thing about Denpachan is that most of its users have never used anonymous boards before, it was created by some YouTube NEET musician guy as a replacement for his Discord server. So the site is sort of taking whatever shape it wants to independently of the general "chan culture"

the lineage isn't particularly imaginary typically, it's basically just some variation on 4chan culture that ends up appearing on western implementations of various Japanese BBS formats

even Heyuri is no exception, we just made an effort to try and remember when 4chan was a site was full of promise and fun instead of being a complete shell of itself
