I wouldn't even mind being reborn as a medieval serf. I'm not saying back then was everything better, but compared to modern wageslaving it doesn't seem too bad. That being said, my NEET life is comfy as is and I don't need any time travel shenanigans.

one big thing is that modern man eats a richer diet than kings of yore though
laden with meats and sweets and all manner of spices and ingredients that would have been prohibitively expensive to all but outright kings
maybe not a better diet, a lot of things we consider fine dining nowadays was peasant food at the time (you ever look at salmon prices lmao? also a king is going to eat the whitest bread he can find, no dark whole wheat thing, which is more expensive these days)
unless times were really bad, you would be eating pretty well by modern standards, fish and veggies and significantly healthier bread (if also a fucking LOT of bread)
