I'm making this thread because I noticed there has been a lot of pro-thumbtack posts lately and it seemed to me like a good opportunity to enlighten you all as to the dangers of thumbtacks.
As you may know, thumbtacks are known to sporadically pierce human skin, causing major injury. For example, thumbtacks have been scientifically proven to cause permanent blindness if not used properly. If ingested, thumbtacks may cause major damage to the human body and even DEATH. In 2011, a two-year-old boy in Paducah, Kentucky was pricked with a thumbtack more than 140 times, leading to his death.
If that's not sufficient proof that thumbtacks are dangerous, I don't know what is.
