don't worry so much about it. in my experience, nobody gave a shit that i didn't talk much at first. they were just glad that i did my job since the last guy didn't do jack shit. over time, i've opened up more and have gotten comfortable enough to joke around with them. you may find the same happen. (´ー`)

just make sure you finish what you need to do. don't be afraid to ask for help - your boss and coworkers want you to do your job correctly. don't look at ur phone unless ur absolutely sure u don't have anything else to do or ur on break.

Eh, I kind of came to enjoy work in a sense. Like, if nothing else I've got this, you know?
Personally I don't see much variety in human experience. Working a job versus staying home all day isn't so different in a way, I'm still in my meat suit. But at least working gets me money.

i dont think you can get fired for being socially awkward, dw you'll get used to talking with people as time goes on, it took me a year to open up to my colleagues and i still refuse any after work invitation they give me and nobody really makes a fuss over it

i dont know what kind of job you are applying to but in my case doing nothing is extremely boring and makes an 8h work day feel like a decade, maybe you'll find that doing some work is better than not doing anything too

I have always been socially awkward and pretty much uninterested in other people but for whatever reason, I ended up doing really social jobs. You wind up developing a mask for when you have to be social, but I'm with you, I'd rather never see or interact with anyone.
