Good co-op games to play with a friend?

I've been talking to a girl recently for the first time in years, and she invited me to play a game with her over the internet next weekend. Now what I really wanted to do, was to invite her over to my house to play ps2 games, but I'm not nearly as intimate with her to say such a thing. So instead I must choose a game to play with her, since she's also not familiar with co-op games.
Any suggestions, heyuri? Something that runs on windows XP, pretty please? I only thought of minecraft, but I've played minecraft to death already.

XP huh... there's not many "co-op" games on PC to my knowledge, but a lot of shooters had team deathmatch and other team-based modes, and in RTS/4X games (which I'm admittedly not very familiar with) I think you can often play on the same team / be allies
Explaining to her that most co-op games are on consoles is a great excuse to invite her over

so you want a good co-op game that can be played over the internet, with someone who is unfamiliar with co-op games and likely gaming in general, and you want it to run on windows XP?
