Since we had one for 4chan let's do a reddit edition.
Good: r/piracy - speaks for itself. No lolis sadly.
Bad: r/unpopularopinion - despite its name, nobody ever voices a genuinely unpopular opinion here. Like the rest of reddit, 90% of the posts are recycled garbage.

Most of Reddit can be classified as bad, there are just some useful subreddits out there. Examples to good could be subreddit of some medicine you use, niche game you play, or technical ones that show up while doing research for PC issues
Like most sites of that kind, upvote/downvote system makes possibly interesting threads not show up on your feed

Good: As mentioned, there's a few piracy-related ones that have useful resources, although who knows how long that will last with all the uproar over there lately
Bad: All the ones that solely consist of people showing off the crap they've bought and disproving the notion that there's no such thing as a stupid question

reddit can be useful in that when you use a search engine to find something, sometimes you will find a reddit thread that has what you're looking for. this puts it on the level of normal forums.
however, actually habitually using reddit seems like it sucks.

We're calling on a total and complete shut-down of Redditors entering Heyuri, until we can figure out what the hell is going on!

Good: SpacePorn. No bewbs sadly, but it's a forum about space-related pics. Often amateurs post photos made with their set-up and they're usually really cool. The other day I saw this gif made by an amateur showing Jupiter's rotation. The frames of the gif are pics taken by him. I recommend it if you have Reddit and like astronomy
Bad: Pretty much anything else LOL. For the sake of the thread I'm gonna say "memes", "dankmemes" and anything related. Teenagers posting what they think are EBIN MAYMAYS, but are actually just relatable humor, and very bad too. The very concept of these subreddits is flawed. Memes are inside jokes of a community. How is a community centered about inside jokes going to work? Just a bad idea.

Good:subs with less than 50k users that are that revolve around a specific discussion or hobby, and some aesthetic subs. but i cant think one in specific.
┐(゚~゚)┌
Baad:AgainstHateSubreddits, Big subs, meme subs, subs that revolve around other subs, anything in the font page...
Actually reddit is pretty big and that's the thing that i deeply hate, its like thousands of different forums and cultures dominated and centralized by a single great leader and state where every page looks the same. reddit is the URSS.

I've been trying to think about this but I just don't use reddit enough for a real answer.
I really just go to ask specific questions or to troll, so I haven't really gotten a proper read on any one sub

>bad: 196, horribly unfunny, shitty memes.
Haha, i witnessed the downfall of 196 firsthand. Don't continue reading if anything reddit related is garbage 2u. For those unaware of what it was, it was a sub with no rules except that you have to post anything before leaving. (Of course it wasn't enforced unless someone caught you somehow, in which case you'd get banned)
I kinda like this gimmick, in the same way that i like ROBOT9000.
It was a place where at least a couple of mainstream memes were created, i'm 90% sure it was responsible for resurrecting rage comics in 2019/20(?)
In 2020 there were good memes there, at least according to me. Then in maaybe mid 2021 it started getting worse, especially during june where people started making bait (or not) "x SAYS TRANS RIGHTS!!" posts, that of course didn't get deleted, were all low effort, and garnered a ton of upvotes. Around this time i left.
Months would pass and each time i would come back there to see what's up and the shit posted there would get worse and more unfunny. I've heard that they also started implementing rules without adding them to the actual rule list, mainly just no hate speech (or rather no right-leaning politics or permab&). They were obsessed with femboys for no reason at all.
At this point i stopped using reddit completely, but in 2022 or maybe even this year they've had some public user poll, which included the age of the users - a majority of the users were children under 16
After that incident more people started becoming aware of how shit this sub really was, and the mods tried to censor that poll and started deleting everything related to it.
That's where my knowledge of the sub ends. Thanks for reading my ramblings

Good: r/piracy for the megathread.
Bad: everything else.
Death to Reddit and its hiveminds. Long live traditional forums

Good: FREEMEDIAHECKYEAH
Bad: All of the front page and porn subs. I've realized that watching porn on reddit was what really made me addicted to it, since I was using the same platform for both killing time and porn, which made it really easy to jump between them (not that I couldn't do so on any other platform, but for some reason it just felt really convenient). I'm still using it for both at the moment, but I've reduced the time spent on it for porn, maybe filtering all such subs would be a good idea now that I think of it.

Good:
/r/openbsd
/r/emacs
/r/Qubes
Bad:
The site by itself. I often try to immediately switch to teddit.net alt-interface.
/r/unixporn maybe counted as bad, but it is not actually bad as all bad subreddits mentioned before, or maybe not bad at all, but i loose all interest in this subject.
