I don't trust Sega to make anything resembling a good decision anymore.
if you asked me this question a few years ago, the answer would be a yes without hesitation

also boy, I keep thinking about what things would be like if the DC survived past 2001 and all I can think of is that Sega would be desperately trying to release a new machine come 2003 or 2004 lol

Funny enough I did buy teh VR headset to buy games, but what I used it teh most for was porn. I did sell it after a while for various reason, that said, i was very happy with teh product. Sadly due to it being stand alone game, there wasn't a lot of lewd games to play as they wasn't sold in Meta's store (another reason...) You can connect it with Wifi5 and stream from your computer - and that worked great - expect I don't own a powerhorse of a pc. I can imagine all teh japanese ero games... I used to play a lot of Illusion games - those also exist in VR Upon this I just learned they Discontinued crycrycry

I mostly did watch japanese VR ero videos from a "fuck'd up crazy" expensive montly subscription from sexlikereal. Worth it due to all their Panchira VR videos! There's nothing like having panties up your face! ヽ(´∇`)ノ

>tracking & synchronization
there seems to be some - while i never looked into it.

It certainly isn't. One time I tried strangling my cat because the little shit had pooped on me while I was asleep and it scratched my whole arm. To this day some people still think I cut myself because of the marks. The number of pity-filled condescending talks I received from my teachers of the years.... it's just not worth it. When I was a little tot, my mother had a pair of orange cats. One was 'ugly' (I don't think it was really ugly, but I imagine it had some sort of deformity I can't fully recall) and the other was cute. Now, as a dumb toddler barely past the age of two or three, I liked to pull on these nekos' tails like I was pulling a rope. Sometimes it was full-on tugging, other times I was just stroking it softly. Yes, I realize the dirty innuendo that creates... (;゚∀゚)

Anyway, the cute kitty had enough of my shit and gave me a deep scratch on the chin. That scar didn't fully heal up until I hit third grade. I don't blame her. I needed to learn my lesson somehow. The ugly cat was totally ok with it, though. She let me do whatever the hell I damn well pleased with her, and didn't bat an eye. Such a sweet cat. I miss that cat. ( ´,_ゝ`)

I think theories of evolution provide an interesting perspective. There are two main theories; gradualism and punctuated equilibrium.
Gradualism basically means a slow and steady process of development from one form to the next.It is slow but not really slow enough that you can claim nothing is happening. There are no 'slumps' of inactivity. Whereas punctuated equilibrium is more like long periods of stasis or very minute changes building up before a critical point is reached and a sort of 'revolution' happens.

I think the Renaissance is interesting to consider in light of these two outlooks. Usually the Renaissance sounds like a story of punctuated equilibrium. There was the 'stasis' period of the dark ages before humanism came around and everything changed.

However studious historians will poopoo the idea of the dark ages as a stasis period (apparently this was an invention of the Victorian era) and will explain how developments through the Middle Ages led gradually to the Renaissance.

I guess it's worth remembering that these are theories in evolutionary biology so maybe neither of them is true about culture, but which do think may be more accurate?

Maybe sudden happenings of events that would lead to slow change? I will say wars ヽ(´∇`)ノ

>how developments through the Middle Ages led gradually to the Renaissance
Access to Middle Eastern culture/knowledge through crusades, Greek scholars fleeing to Europe after after fall of Byzantium, rise of monarchies with 100 years' war, losing trade routes to Muslims leading to the age of exploration ...

Also it was the cold war that led DARPA to develop what would become the internet, which itself is a catalyst of advanced Renaissance-age inventions liek printing press (instant share of knowledge) and universities (Indians on YT), and also further increase of nontheism.
>>
>Also it was the cold war that led DARPA to develop what would become the internet
Is the ARPAnet particularly linked to the cold war? I would assume that improving communications between bases is desirable regardless, so I don't know if it's necessarily war-funded, though it is military-funded.
>>
i believe things are constantly changing but sometimes they change faster due to events like wars, famine, a new weirdo shouting religious chants in the town square, etc...
i dont think you can apply biology to this though purin
>>
>>13780
Maybe I'm being reductive, but wasn't basically everything around then a cold war thing? Particularly in 1969?

Is there any glam/ hair metal you think is underrated? There is this very good album from 1980 called "Sheer Greed" by a band called "Girl".
It's got great glam theatrics and loads of sleaze, and there's something I particularly love about how deep and indulgent the bass is. I feel like that sort of bass sound was extremely common in the late 70s.
