I'm not the OP, but I have suicidal tendencies for 15 years now. You don't understand how depression works. To do basically anything you need WILL, and that's exactly the thing I (and many other depressed people) lack of. I don't even have any will to wake up at mornings or have a meal, or wash myself, etc.. It just feels so... pointless. And to hitch-hike to Las Vegas? Are you serious? You need TONS of will, self-confidence, strength, patience, and many other qualities to accomplish that huge task. Same for anything else. And here I am, a person who don't go outside for days (and sometimes weeks) just because I don't have enough aspiration to consistently perform even that routine task. Hitch-hiking is something I'd see only in anime and movies, I just can't even imagine myself doing something like this.

Anyone here who's a NEET, you should realize that you're living like royalty and stop letting societal expectations make you depressed. Anyone who shames you for being a NEET (which is basically a synonym for "retired") is jealous they won't get to live like you do until they get on social security at ~70, or if they break a bone or something and can get disability welfare for a few weeks or months. The worst thing about being a neet is no sex, but do you think most royalty of the past wouldn't trade that for all the technology you have? You actually live a better life than just about every king or emperor throughout history, just find a waifu and always imagine making love with her while fapping to fulfill your need for love and you won't be depressed anymore.

If you're a wageslave you probably should kill yourself though unless you can find a job you genuinely enjoy doing, or can find a way to become a NEET/retiree soon.

Leave Take off in the middle of the day, middle of the night, who cares? Honestly, if you are well and truly genuinely serious about ending it all you might as well have fun first (´･ω･`). You have a bit of money, no? If you don't, get a part time job and work for a few months. If you do, convert it all to cash and go on a journey. You can save a lot of cash by sleeping in attics, basements, and summer homes/cottages if it's winter where you're at right now. Trainhop aswell if you want, it's not like you've got a criminal record to be concerned about. Tramp it up, have fun, and die once you feel like you can't keep having fun anymore. And buy a dedicated music player that runs on regular batteries, you never know when you'll have access to a wall socket to charge your phone/laptop
