Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

I can't log in due to a temporary ban

  • Press @Top and wait until you're able to log in.
  • It is technically possible to log in using a hacky workaround, but it will not reset the number of times you rapidly pressed the “Speak” button, and will cause inconvenience to others who are waiting to log in, so please don't do it.

I can't register because the game is at full capacity

  • Please wait patiently for a vacancy to open up.

I forgot my password

  • Contact the admin on the Support bulletin board, or send a message to admin-0 using Electronic PO Box.
  • If you wait too long, your player data will be automatically deleted. At that point, you must register a new player.

How do I recover fatigue/HP/MP?

  • Go to your house with @Home and sleep with @Sleep.
  • If your fatigue is 99% or less, you can go to Patty's Bar with @Move>PattysBar and use @Order to trade gold for HP and MP.
  • However, you can only place a single order between quests.

The wallpaper I bought isn't appearing

  • The previous background image has likely been cached (temporarily saved) by your browser. Please try refreshing multiple times, or perform a super refresh using Ctrl + F5.

The stats for the equipment at the shop or that I have equipped keeps changing

  • Some equipment has randomized stats that will change from battle to battle. The range of randomization is different for each item.

Special effects for weapons and armor are not activating

  • Weapons and armor do not have special effects (number of attacks, resistence, etc.).
  • They only increase your attack power, defense power, and agility.

There should be more weapons and armor for sale

  • In this game, more items will become available as you increase the number of job changes you've had.

There should be more quest locations

  • In this game, more quest locations will become available as you increase the number of job changes you've had.

I can't buy X item

  • The items required for the Handyman Service quests cannot be purchased.
  • However, once a quest is complete, you'll be able to buy the respective item.

Where should I quest first?

  • At the start of the game, the best place to level up is PuniPuniPlains. Then you can move on to a new location once you've levelled up a bit.

I can't go to X quest location even though I've changed job many times

How many times do I need to change job?

  • If you change jobs 15 times, you'll be able to buy most weapons and armor, and go to most quest locations.

This treasure chest won't open

  • You can open chests by using @Examine and then selecting the chest you wish to open (only one of the chests may be opened per person).

I can't use items

  • There are three types of item usage: “during battle”, “at home”, and “automatically used when changing jobs”.
  • See items for more details.

Can I choose not to take items from a treasure chest or befriend monsters?

  • You cannot. You are forced to take the items and become friends.
  • However, if your vault is full, you will not be able to take them with you.

An item I have is not appearing on the item encyclopedia

  • It will get added when you equip it.
  • If it was automatically sent to the vault, you must withdraw it at least once.

My attacks keep missing / I keep receiving critical hits

  • If your agility is lower than your opponent's, your attacks will miss and you'll be more likely to receive critical hits.
  • Strong weapons and armor will lower your agility based on their weight, so equip weapons and armor that suit your agility.

The effects of medicinal herbs increases with tension / defending with tension has no effect

  • That's just how the game is.

The effects of raised tension only applied to one person

  • That's just how the game is. The overall effect of raised tension only gets applied to one person.

People at the back of the party line up keep getting attacked

Which monsters can be befriended?

  • You can make friends with anything the appears, from small enemies to bosses.

It's difficult to befriend monsters

  • Monsters that are stronger than you are less likely to befriend you (that doesn't mean they won't befriend you).
  • You will only befriend them if you defeat them yourself.
  • If you're lucky, you can befriend a monster upon meeting them for the first time. If you're unlucky, it could take 100 encounters or more. Be patient and hang in there.
  • If your job is a monster user, you'll have an easier time befriending monsters than with other jobs.

How many of the same monster can you befriend?

  • You can befriend any number of them.

There is a missing number (a gap) in the Monster Book

  • The numbering system is designed so that the admin can easily add or delete monsters.

What happens when you befriend a monster?

  • The monster's data is registered to your Monster Book and then the monster is sent to Monty's Farm.
  • Sadly, you can't go on quests with them or raise them.
  • You can however put them in your house by using @Withdraw at Monty's Farm.

My monster's data hasn't been added to the Monster Book

  • Monsters sent by others won't be added to the Monster Book.
  • Only monsters you have befriended yourself will be added.

Should I join a guild?

  • There are no perks or benefits.
  • It's just a way for you to build a sense of camaraderie or have a good time with your friends.

What happens if I complete X?

  • You'll be listed under LegendaryPlayers. Even if your player data gets deleted, you will remain as a legend until the maximum number of saved players (30 by default) is exceeded.

What is the number in parentheses "()" displayed after the job?

  • The skill points (SP) value of the job. What is SP? See: stats.

Old messages in the chat log have disappeared / There are no messages in the chat log

  • Old messages get deleted once a certain number of messages have been made.
  • Additionally, @Invite and @Whisper are included in the message count, so if there are many instances of those the logs may appear empty.

My name is still displayed on the top page even though I've logged out

  • Logins and logouts are not managed in real time.
  • The system will consider you to be logged out when there are no updates from you for several tens of minutes, at which point you will disappear from the top page.

The screen went completely blank. Nothing is displayed anymore.

  • This is a bug. Please report the error and what you did before it happened to the Support bulletin board, or send a message to admin-0 using Electronic PO Box.
  • You can try fixing the situation by using the rescue function.
  • If that doesn't fix it, the game is either under maintenence or there's an error in the code. You'll have to wait for the admin to fix it.

I'm sleeping even though I didn't rapidly hit the speak button

  • The countdown length increases for each time you triggered the rapid refresh warning page.
  • The penalty for rapid refreshes will be performed on your next login, after which the countdown will be reset to 0.
  • A countdown may also appear while the “Server Temporary” page is displayed.
  • If you're not sure which one it is, simply return to the top page, log in again, and see if either “Rapid refreshes prohibited” or “Server Temporary” page is displayed.

Can I play from devices other than a PC?

  • The game seems to work fine on mobile devices and consoles, but since the game was made with PCs in mind, there's no guarantee that it will work on anything besides PCs.
