Intermediate combat knowledge

This article contains intermediate information about how to battle in @Party. For those wanting to learn the basics, see the page on basic combat knowledge.

Facing formidable foes

When fighting enemies who are stronger than you, simply attacking and healing alone won't cut it. This is when support skills really come in handy.

Strategy example

  • If the enemy is mainly using physical attacks, lower their accuracy and agility.
  • If the enemy is mainly using magic, lower their MP or seal their ability to use magic.
  • If the enemy uses skills that buff their attack and defense power, disable the buff with WeaponBreak or ArmorBreak.

Skill acquisition or stat upgrades?

You will be able to change jobs once you hit level 20 (and beyond), but if you change jobs right away, your stats will remain low for a long time. Eventually you may find it very difficult to fight in quest locations with stronger enemies.

If you learned some powerful skills early on, don't feel pressured to change jobs right away. If you change jobs after reaching a higher level, you will develop a high-stats character.

Skill chaining

Even if a skill seems useless on its own, there are many skill that can be powerful when teaming up with other players who have skills to back yours up.
