I think there are a different in being bad and overrated, as an overrated anime can still be OK. Here's a few i think is overrated but also sort of bad - but not 100% bad.

As I am currently reading Clannad VN, and very close to finish it. I am realizing how much harder it hit emotional this time than 10+ years ago when I saw teh anime. I have changed, and themes and narrative I didn't enjoy as much then - as much as i do now. I matured and see things different. Anime was still very good then tho!

I really didn't enjoy Moe anime when i started watching anime - which is one of teh reason i am biased about my first post.

Dream Hunter Rem. The first 2 episodes were okay, but then the ero completely stopped, the animation quality decreased, it became overly serious, and the last episode had some weird yaoi shit. It was pretty disappointing, but I've only ever heard people talk positively about it.

FLCL was one of my favorite anime I watched this year (as in 12 months, I actually watched it in 2024). I really like SHAFT, and I'd say it has a pretty underrated anime; Maria Holic is probably the anime that made me laugh the most. And I also liked most CGDCT anime I watched...
On the topic of bad ones, though, Koisuru Astroid was probably the most boring anime I've ever watched.
And on the topic of Gainax, I felt nothing at Gubuster.

That's not really the point, though. For example, if you're in China and thus can't access facebook, it doesn't mean it is now valuable for people to post facebook screencaps on imageboards.

As for the idea that it takes effort to finetune prompts just right, that would be a good point if one image wasn't equivalent to the next in terms of creativity and value. "oh but her legs are slightly bent instead of fully straight" changes nothing.
